The aim of the course is to introduce students to the skills and disciplines that enable them to become an effective fine art practitioner; they are introduced through exposure to existing practitioners to the realities of working as an artist and encouraged to develop an awareness of where their own practice fits into both contemporary and historical contexts; students are expected to show independence, question established values and be pro active in establishing their own identity as practising artists; students undertake a number of projects leading to exhibitions at a variety of venues; application deadline: March 2010.
