The purpose of this award is to develop the work-based practice of the practitioner, by defining competences and developing knowledge base in an ethical framework related to advice and guidance; practitioners in any area managing a personal case load, which requires the giving of advice and guidance, would benefit from this award; candidates’ occupational areas can include social care, housing, health provision, community support, financial advice, career planning, life skills training and regulatory bodies including the law.
