The programme provides opportunities for undergraduate education in 6 of the social sciences disciplines: sociology, politics, economics, history, research methods and psychology; the programme is structured over a minimum of 5 years, which allows students to gain an unclassified degree, with level 1 providing a broad introduction to the disciplines, and levels 2 and 3 providing opportunities for increased specialisation determined by student choice; the programme is comprised of modules that the student can use to tailor their studies to suit their own interests; by investigating personal and social relations, social institutions, and organisations, students gain an understanding of the working of society and how people behave and interact; students also acquire other valuable skills in presentation, research and computing.
