Part-time Sep years: 4 - 6
Full-time Sep years: 3
Drama centres on contemporary performance and students undertake a rigorous investigation of a range of approaches and perspectives (concentrating on drama as a theory-based study rather than an exploration and study of practice) despite which there are a limited number of practical modules available: performance elements 1; community project; digital performance; and placement; English focuses on the ability to read texts in increasingly complex and diverse ways: exploring literature by looking at its structures and forms as well as the varying contexts in which it is produced and read; students examine the relations between writer; text and reader and interrogate the ways in which contexts shape and affect interpretation of varieties of texts.

Location

The University is just a 20-minute walk – or a short bus ride – from Uxbridge underground station, so it is a straightforward journey into central London. There is also a night bus that can bring you from central London to the edge of the campus. The town of Uxbridge itself, which still has buildings dating back to its time as a Georgian market town, is a thriving commercial and business centre. Its major shopping complexes, The Pavilions and the Chimes Centre, boast a wide range of shops, cafes and a nine-screen multiplex cinema.
