This course is aimed at students with high levels of drawing ability and an interest in narrative; at the core of the programme are the parallel pursuits of understanding and developing visual language and refining technique; through experimentation; exploration and continual practice students are encouraged to develop their own individual style, methods and look; outcomes are as diverse as the imagination of the student; cultural and theoretical studies broaden students awareness of the tradition of illustration and encourage analysis and critical enquiry while visits from respected practitioners aim to keep students informed about contemporary illustration practice.
