This course covers the key skills required for exhibition and event management. Birmingham City University’s strong links with the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) means students learn from the industry’s top professionals; students are provided with insights into professional practice in events and exhibition management, logistical, organisational and marketing skills that enable them to operate at managerial level, and technical knowledge and creative skills to solve complex problems; the course aims to: provide a good understanding of the financial structure of the industry and possible future developments, essential safety regulations and current and emerging trends; enable students to plan an events and exhibitions from an original concept right through to practical operations management, whilst making sound informed professional judgements.
