The course offers the opportunity to pursue research enquiries in enormously diverse areas from Anglo-Saxon literature to writing produced during the reigns of the Stuarts; the course draws from interests in Arthurian literature; the medieval gentry and writing; women's writing; the development of drama; Malory; Shakespeare; Milton; Herbert; English literature and Europe; the epic; and the literature of political controversy.
