Entry requirements

Undergraduate

To apply for undergraduate courses the following is required:

  • A-levels or IB: subjects and grades requirements vary depending on the course or School leaving certificate equivalent to UK A-Levels or
  • School leaving certificate and successful completion of International Foundation programme.
  • IELTS from 6.0 if English is not the first language of an applicant.
  • Creative portfolio might be required for arts and design related courses.
  • Application should be submitted online via UCAS.

Postgraduate

To apply for postrgraduate courses the following is required:

  • A Bachelor degree from the university in the UK or approved institution of higher education outside the UK or Professional qualifications can be accepted for some courses.
  • IELTS from 6.5 if English is not the first language of an applicant.
  • If grades at Bachelor degree are not sufficient, Pre-Masters programme can be taken by International students prior to their Master studies.
  • Relevant working experience might be required for some courses.
  • Creative portfolio might be required for arts and design related courses.
  • Application should be submitted online on the website of the University or via UCAS Postgraduate.

How to apply

International Foundation

These one year programmes give you an opportunity to develop your English language, become familiar with UK academic culture and explore some of our academic departments before starting an undergraduate degree. Some of the Pathways are designed to prepare you for specific Goldsmiths' degree programmes and will lead to guaranteed progression to relevant undergraduate courses, whilst others may lead into a number of different areas. You can apply on-line at the University's website.


Undergraduate

You can apply for the full-time undergraduate degrees online through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Full instructions are available on the UCAS website. International students apply in the same way as UK and EU applicants - online through UCAS. You can study any of the full-time programmes.


Postgraduate

You can apply directly to Goldsmiths via the website by clicking the 'apply now’ button on the main programme page. Some programmes have particular application procedures, so always check the relevant online prospectus entry first.


International students and English language requirements

If English isn't your first language you need to be able to demonstrate the required level of English language competence to enrol on the programmes. The University prefers IELTS test, each programme has a specific requirement.
