Studying at Cardiff University may be different from the style of teaching in your country. You will be expected to use the libraries and internet to research topics. You will be asked to contribute your opinion, collate information and present evidence. Your own ideas will be encouraged. Cardiff University is an innovator in ‘problem- based’ learning. This means your lecturers will set you a ‘problem’ and you will have to work out the answer. This is a much more effective method of learning than just from a book.

Cardiff is located on the coast of South Wales, which has beautiful national parks and beaches only 30 minutes away. Cardiff is approximately 230km (145 miles) west of London and is easily accessed by train in about 2 hours. Cardiff has excellent transport links (ranked 1st in the UK for the most transport friendly city) with an international airport that has flights to many cities in Europe.
