Entry requirements

Either a good Honours degree in an information communication technology (ICT)-related subject or a degree with an ICT component; applicants who hold a non-ICT degree must provide evidence of some relevant ICT qualifications (for example, qualifications such as an Master's or postgraduate diploma); those who do not have a relevant qualification may still qualify for interview if they can show substantial work experience as an ICT specialist; experience of working with children and young people in a formal context is also desirable; applicants should be able to demonstrate awareness of current educational issues, enthusiasm and motivation for teaching ICT in a secondary school context; good communication skills are essential; GCSE minimum grade C or equivalent in mathematics, English language and science; interview.
