This is a major/minor programme which allows the student to focus 2/3 of their time on 1 subject whilst the other 1/3 is spent studying units from a different subject area; the sports coaching course focuses on the specific skills of operating as a coach at both a participation and a performance level, through areas which may include psychology, development of training programmes and performance analysis; the course also analyses the wider roles and functions of the coach with the processes of talent identification and the wider development of sporting skills; anthropology is the study of what it is that makes people human; it studies world cultures, and the non-symbolic cultures of animals; it includes both the human and non-human domain as its subject matter.
