Year 1: Experimental space and garden anachronism explore the visual language of landscape and its' representation in a range of media and act as a foundation to the subject. Year 2: These themes are expanded to consider the making of the UK Landscape through landscapes past present future and the composition of the urban environment within (sub)urban Invention; both raise the issue of sustainable futures in considering landscape as part of living systems. Year 3: Reinforces these themes through cultural Landscapes – new futures which explores concepts of visual aesthetics in the shaping of landscapes and urban (re)invention - the remaking of the city and the public realm.
