Entry requirements

Entry requirements Applicants must hold a Bachelor Degree of First Class or a Master Degree (2:1) in Aerospace/ Electrical/Computer Engineering, and have good programming skills in C/C++ in Linux environment. Experience in UAV control system designs, multisensor navigation, and detect and avoid are an asset. The PhD candidate is required to start in Dec 2018 or Feb. 2019. Funding This studentship will provide a bursary of up to £24,000 p.a. for three years, which will cover both the tuition fee including Additional Fee Element (AFE) at the UK level for UK/EU candidate and the maintenance bursary. The current PhD tuition fee is £18,500 p.a. for overseas student.

Location

Cranfield is set in a leafy green campus in the heart of the Bedfordshire countryside.


The University is easily accessible from London, Oxford, Cambridge and Birmingham, making it simple for recruiters and practitioners to visit on a daily basis.
