Higher Education Foundation Programme at the University of Warwick is a pre-university course that helps to prepare international students for study in the UK and help them decide on future study.

The course is full-time from when you register in September to the completion of your examinations, usually in the final week of May. The teaching will take place for 25 hours per week and students will need to allow approximately 10 hours per week for private study, preparing for tests and writing assignments.

Higher Education Foundation Programme for Social Science

The Social Science Foundation course provides a comprehensive introduction to the four core disciplines of Social Science: Economics, Politics, Psychology and Sociology. The Economics and Sociology courses are the same courses taught on the Business Studies course. The fifth subject, English, is fully integrated with other aspects of the course.

Teaching on the course concentrates on the subjects of work and employment. You will study them in the context of each cores discipline. An additional special feature of the course is developing your skills in a comparative analysis.

After successful completion of this course, students can apply for the following bachelor degrees:

> Communications and Media, Development Studies, Economics, International Relations and Politics,  Philosophy, Psychology,  Sociology, Travel and Tourism, Language, Culture and Communication.
