Biology students explore biology through practical work; fieldwork; interactive computer-based learning; and traditional delivery methods; select options that will enable focused study within one of three broad themes: Whole organism biology; molecular and cellular biology; and environmental and ecological biology; and undertake an independent research-based study; geography explores spatial aspects of the complex inter-relationships between human beings and the environment; provides an understanding of physical processes, socio-cultural systems and their roles in environmental change; there is a choice of modules which enable specialisation in the physical, human or development aspects of geography; geographical data handling and research methods is a core study; fieldwork is essential to the course.
