The degree comprises the specialisation of architectural design and the science or innovation of building; this is underpinned by an expertise in the technology, management and legal aspects of construction; architectural technologists work on widely varying types of design problems including commercial, industrial, retail, leisure and residential projects and these may involve new build, adaptation, restoration maintenance or interiors; some graduates go on to deal with architecture within the urban context and issues of planning and regeneration.
