In this course, health professionals can develop the skills needed for career progression as part of the NHS 'Agenda for Change' initiative; students develop practical, methodological and analytical skills for biomedical research; and explore current international research in reproductive biology; the course has a high laboratory-based practical component where professionals can apply theoretical knowledge to practical experimentation; it involves internationally recognised clinical research; the course covers: research, methodology and analytical techniques; legal requirements and ethical issues in reproductive biology; reproductive physiology and functional anatomy; control and maintenance of pregnancy; assisted reproduction; and diagnosis of reproductive and pregnancy disease.
