This course explores the history, literature, educational development and politics of the Caribbean and its diaspora (Britain, Central America and USA); students develop a critical perspective on the history and culture of the region, which is especially relevant to understanding the Caribbean community in Britain; history offers students the opportunity to study a range of historical periods, geographical areas and thematic approaches, this dynamic and challenging course ranges from the rise of the British Empire to the history of the FBI.
