Entry requirements


To apply for undergraduate courses at School of Business and Economics the following is required:

  • A-levels or IB: subjects and grades requirements vary depending on the course or School leaving certificate equivalent to UK A-Levels or
  • School leaving certificate and successful completion of International Foundation programme.
  • IELTS UKVI: 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each individual element (reading, writing, listening and speaking). Some Business and Economics courses have an requirement of IELTS of 7.0 (with 6.5 in each individual element). 
  • Application should be submitted online via UCAS.


To apply for postgraduate courses at School of Business and Economics  the following is required:

  • A Bachelor degree from the university in the UK or approved institution of higher education outside the UK or Professional qualifications can be accepted for some courses.
  • IELTS: 6.5 overall, including a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-tests, 
  • Relevant working experience might be required for some courses including MBA
  • Application should be submitted online on the website of the University or via UCAS Postgraduate.

School of Business and Economics

Applicants to full-time postgraduate taught masters, diplomas and certificates offered by the School of Business and Economics must pay an application fee before their application will be considered (excludes applications to the MBA and MSc Information Management & Business Technology). Applying for a research programme

When you apply for a research degree you will be required to describe your proposed area of research. This should usually be in the form of an initial research proposal of approximately 500 words, including an outline of your research interests, your initial thoughts about the topic, references to previous work, and the methodology and general approach you wish to take. You should also indicate how this research will make an original contribution to knowledge.
