As a student at Amsterdam University College (AUC), you will learn to analyse complex issues from different perspectives by drawing on various academic fields of knowledge. Discussions start with the ‘big questions’ in science and society and lead to in-depth study in a wide range of academic disciplines. The curriculum features six interdisciplinary themes: Energy, Climate and Sustainability; Life, Evolution and the Universe; Health and Well-being; Information, Communication, Cognition; Social Systems; and Cities and Cultures. These themes will provide you with a solid orientation as you decide on your major in the sciences, social sciences or humanities.
The university is located on a compact urban campus in the southern Buitenveldert neighbourhood of Amsterdam and adjacent to the modern Zuidas business distric, the most dynamic and fastest growing business districts in the Netherlands.
