The course has been developed jointly by the universities of Leeds and Sheffield; it provides a broad, interdisciplinary learning experience enabling single-discipline graduates to contribute effectively to the research, development and commercial exploitation of nanotechnology; the full-time MSc study is split between Leeds and Sheffield campuses; in order to complete the full MSc programme, students must complete the 8 lecture modules and a major project; students choose from a list of projects in both Sheffield and Leeds working in research fields of nanomaterials, nanoengineering or related subjects; the project plays a major role allowing students to demonstrate the ability to complete an extensive topic of research within a given time, inclusive of literature search and a concise and detailed report.
