the course offers an insight into European theatre practice, both Continental and British contexts; students have the opportunity to work alongside members of staff with strong interests in continental European theatre; also, students are able to participate fully in the activities of the European Theatre Research Network; there is an opportunity to spend the 1st term at 1 of our European partner universities (such as the Universities of Utrecht and Ghent), and to attend a summer school at the Avignon Festival, lead by Professor Patrice Pavis.

The University of Kent has three campuses in the UK, situated in Canterbury, Medway, and Tonbridge. It also has sites in Europe, at Paris, Brussels and Athens.

The main campus- Canterbury campus is built on 300 acres of parkland and is less than 25 minutes’ walk from the historic cathedral city of Canterbury.
