The course is aimed at providing clinicians with an understanding of managerial, clinical and research issues that develop dental implantology within dental practice, and with the complementary skills required to contribute to and influence development and evaluation of dental practice; the course comprises a combination of related theory, research and practice including understanding and evaluation of the clinical theory, practice and associated research applied to dental implantology as a mode of treatment in general dental practice; the programme incorporates a variety of teaching methods, laboratory and supervised practice.
