This course can be studied at the Didsbury Campus; it delivers the design and technology process through the specialist materials of food (with the associated knowledge and understanding of health issues, nutrition, product development, consumer education and food technology) and textiles (with the associated knowledge of textile technology, design, production processes and practical product development skills); students are prepared for the teaching profession by following the programme with either food or textiles as their specialism; through the linked supporting study students develop associated skills and understanding in the other specialist area, textiles or food.
