Aims of the programme: To enable the development of the students knowledge and understanding of the; technical, creative and administrative processes involved in digital moving image production; to understand the relationship between moving image form/content and delivery medium/ audience profile; to begin an extended enquiry of the practical/technical contexts of creating content for screen based media; this course encourages and develops the students' technical and conceptual skills in order to provide them with a skills base necessary for the creation of moving image artefacts using relevant tools; the basic questions of script, light, composition, green screen, movement, time, place, pace, sound when shooting DV and HDV are addressed; distribution methods range from delivering a tape to a broadcasting organisation to embedding media players in web sites for streaming media delivery to mobiles etc; the course counts as 30 credits at Master's level.
