Research is concerned with understanding the physics of large molecules such as proteins, and their interaction with surfaces and solvents; involves the use of x-ray diffraction facilities; in-house scanning probe microscopy for studying both structural properties and the transport of electrons; computer simulations of the motion of molecules; and quantum mechanical calculations of the properties of electrons in these molecules; plus the study of structural and electrical properties of semiconductor structures, such as diode lasers.

Location
