Occasional workshops allow students to meet the academic staff and discuss issues with fellow students; core topics are: Leadership; managing change; critical thinking; interpersonal skills; reflective practice (all students are required to hand in a reflection on their achievements for each assignment); the rest of this course is negotiated between student and tutor, based on what the student does at work, and what they wish to focus on during the course of study; at the start, a personal learning action plan is completed for the year ahead; personal tutors work with students on every assignment, all through the year.
