This course aims to identify the business and marketing opportunities that will benefit from the application of electronic commerce tools and techniques and develop the skills necessary to successfully implement an electronic commerce system as part of a core business process, whilst ensuring supply chain and customer focused issues are addressed; in addition it seeks to identify and exploit opportunities for business growth through the application of the most appropriate technologies for an electronic commerce system and to apply those required in order to implement an electronic commerce facility; the course also aims to analyse the benefits gained through the use of electronic trading systems and the key security considerations from their use.
