Student life

Training on the preparatory courses is offered on the basis of the new Kaplan International College (KIC) in London. At the College, you can take advantage of modern educational platforms and interactive lessons. As a KIC student, you will have access to all University resources, including the library, computer classes, and more. Next to the College is the South Bank of the river Thames, where the London Eye is located. Just a 5-minute walk from London Bridge station, you can take the metro to famous attractions such as big Ben. If you want to discover London and the rest of the UK and spend time with your new friends, we will organize a range of social events and trips. After completing the course, we will help you continue your studies in your specialty and advise you on applying for a new visa and, if necessary, consider training options.

Our central student support services are based at the Library and Student Centre, Ground Floor, Marylebone Campus. Students can come to us for help and advice on a wide range of services including:

The Welcome Desk on the ground floor of Harrow Library is the point of contact for information and advice for students at our Harrow Campus.

Accommodation

As a student of a preparatory course, you are guaranteed accommodation while studying at Kaplan International College (KIC) in London.

All residences are within a short drive of London Bridge, the nearest station to the College.

Magenta House is a 10-minute walk from Aldgate East station, which is a 10-minute tube ride from London Bridge station. Room type: separate rooms of block type, with private bathroom.

iQ Shoreditch is a 5-minute walk from Old Street station, which is a 5-minute tube ride from London Bridge station. Room type, Studio with separate bathroom.

Tufnell House is a 5-minute walk from Tufnell Park station, which is a 20-minute tube ride from London Bridge station. Room type individual rooms of block type, private bathroom.

Alternatively, you can live with a family. This is a great way to practice English and get to know the culture of the UK.

Location

Our courses are taught across four London campuses – three in central London and all within walking distance of each other, and a fourth in Harrow, north-west London, which is just a 30-minute tube ride away from central London.

Cavendish Campus

Our Cavendish Campus is in central London – just a 5-minute walk from Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road.
Subjects taught at the campus include Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering, and Psychology.

Harrow Campus

Our Harrow Campus is based in north-west London, just 30 minutes away from central London by tube.
Subjects taught at the campus include Art and Design, Fashion, and Film and Television.

Marylebone Campus

Our Marylebone Campus is in central London, within easy walking distance of both Regent's Park and Marylebone High Street.
Subjects taught at the campus include Accounting and Finance, Business and Management, and Construction Management and Urban Planning.

Regent Campus

Our Regent Campus comprises three sites in central London, all within a few minutes' walk of Oxford Street:
309 Regent Street – subjects taught at this site include English and Creative Writing, Languages, and History.
Little Titchfield Street – our Law courses are taught here.
Wells Street – Criminology and Sociology, and Politics and International Relations are taught here.
