German students benefit from a dynamic, contemporary approach to the study of the German language, using our excellent facilities students become familiar with key aspects of modern day German culture, society, politics, economics and literature; students have the choice of entering at beginners, intermediate or advanced levels; the history course covers issues in British, European and American history including industrialisation, social history and the impact of war from 1500 AD to the present day; students focus in depth on particular themes and issues that interest them, rather than undertaking surveys of long periods of history; students learn essential historical techniques such as critical investigation, research and the skills required for processing information.
