The Department of Economics at the University of Essex was founded with the University in 1963. The Department provides, or has recently provided, homes, editors and associate editors for many leading journals including the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Industrial Economics, International Economic Review, and the Review of Development Economics.
Our MSc International Economics gives you this knowledge, plus a critical awareness of the integration of theory, data, and analysis in relation to international economics. You are equipped with the skills for a career in international organisations engaged in business and finance, or in government and non-governmental organisations concerned with global development and international trade.

Essex has excellent links by rail and road into central London. Trains run between central London and both Colchester and Southend taking up to an hour. The University's East 15 Acting School is approximately 45 minutes from central London on the London Underground Tube.
