Years 1, 2 and 3: Students study units from at least 2 disciplines throughout the duration of the programme, with at least 1/3 of their time devoted to their chosen major; the remaining 2/3 of their time is used to study a wide-range of different subjects, to graduate with a highly interdisciplinary degree, or to follow their own specialist path; discipline areas include: biological sciences; chemical sciences; computing sciences; environmental sciences; mathematics; physics; it is also possible to include up to 20 credits of free-choice in year 2 and year 3 in areas such as economics, psychology, development studies, law, modern languages or management; developed streams of study for the 3 years currently include: physics of the natural environment; modelling the natural environment; chemistry of the natural environment; physics of molecules; ecology and conservation; physics of sound and music; chemistry and living systems; computational chemistry; biology and information technology; health and disease; mathematics and physics although more streams are available.

Location

The University of East Anglia is based in the vibrant city of Norwich, located in the east of England. The city is less than two hours by train from London and is a unique blend of historic English architecture and modern design, which creates a dynamic and unforgettable atmosphere.
