Business management provides the knowledge and skills required for a management role in industry or commerce; students may choose to specialise in personnel; business information technology; law; marketing; and finance; geography explores spatial aspects of the complex inter-relationships between human beings and the environment; provides an understanding of physical processes, socio-cultural systems and their roles in environmental change; there is a choice of modules which enable specialisation in the physical, human or development aspects of geography; geographical data handling and research methods is a core study; fieldwork is essential to the course.
