Logistics Management (Economics) is a 4-year full-time course that will prepare you for an exciting, in-demand career as an international logistics or supply chain manager. As a student, you will be exposed to the most cutting-edge trends in business. You will also benefit from the diverse knowledge networks at Arnhem Business School, the international department of HAN’s Faculty of Business Management and Law.

The products we know today are often the result of complex movements of parts, materials and finished goods all over the world. These supply chains start with raw materials, move through production and distribution, and end in the hands of the customer.

International logistics managers manage the supply chain from purchasing to distribution. They have to understand customer service and marketing perspectives, as well as sourcing, production, distribution, information technology and finance.

As a supply chain or logistics manager, you will know how to make that supply chain work to achieve the company’s goals and make your customers happy.

As an international logistics manager, you will be continually challenged to organise people and products to move at the right time, in the right direction, at optimal cost. You will learn to balance time, service and cost to meet your customers’ demands.

Career prospects

As a Logistics Management (Economics) graduate, you will have valuable theoretical knowledge and practical skills that you can put to use straight away. Many graduates start work in international positions and quickly advance to management positions.

Location

HAN University of Applied Sciences has two campuses, located in Arnhem and Nijmegen.

Nijmegen is situated on the banks of the river Waal, in the east of The Netherlands, near to the German border, and is the oldest city in Holland - recently celebrating its 2,000th anniversary.

Arnhem, the capital of the province of Gelderland, is only 15km from Nijmegen and lies partially in the hills at the edge of National Park De Veluwe, a striking area of woods and heath. Arnhem is a ‘green’ city, where people take pleasure in living, working and recreation.
