The programme comprises a broad based engineering design curriculum with depth in the areas of computer-aided design and rapid prototyping technology; students become specialists in computer-aided design applications including: Solid modelling; finite element analysis; and computational fluid dynamics as well as some of the industry standard methodologies such as design for assembly and failure modes and effects analysis; students learn the basics of solid mechanics; thermodynamics; dynamics and electronics through a mixture of lectures, tutorials and hands on experiments.
