The primary aim of the course is to recognise and support the development of what is distinctive about the student – the vision and ambition, sense of discovery and curiosity, and skills and ability to create visual work of aesthetic quality and personal significance; students will practice painting, sculpture and printmaking can also be extended to include photographic, video and digitally generated images; each year students will participate in tutorials, group critiques of studio work, media workshops, lectures and seminars; students focus on the procedures, techniques and questions that inform contemporary writing, with considerable emphasis on those stimulated by cross-arts working and new technologies.
